This blue and white building on Quay Street has been catching sailors, smugglers and slightly too thirsty locals since it was a working sail loft, back when the only spirit on offer was the will to survive a sketchy Solent crossing.
The ropes and canvas are long gone, replaced by something far more useful: a proper drinks list and cracking food to boot.
Downstairs is where the party lives, with long tables to dance on, ceilings to write on and live music on Saturdays. Upstairs, the same hospitality and the same mischief arrive with linen napkins and fresh, local seafood that’s worth coming back for.
